With support from De Montfort University, UK, The Energy Resource institute (TERI), India’s renowed research centre on renewable energy, supported Mlinda to expand its work to electrify villages in the Indian Sundarbans, one of the world’s largest mangrove areas, bording Bangladesh. As a record of the partnership TERI produced a short film describing Mlinda’s work. Watch this video to see how the social and financial innovations of the model allow people who once relied on dangerous and poluting kerosene to access modern sources of power.
